With the explosion of cyber threats, Approach aims to hire ten colleagues in Flanders to support the growing needs of the Belgian companies.
Press release - Antwerp - 9 November
Cyber threats are on the rise in these times of pandemic, as the Center for Cyber Security Belgium (CCB) has observed in its various analysis reports. The COVID19 theme is regularly used by cybercriminals as a decoy, in particular, online ordering of masks and home packet delivery have been heavily exploited in fraudulent e-mails ("Phishing") and SMS ("Smishing" ) . The widespread practice of teleworking entails risks for organizations that are not careful - they are forced to further open their networks, applications, and data to the private devices and networks of their employees and partners, and very quickly place critical assets in the "Cloud".
All businesses are affected but recent attacks have targeted logistics groups, the financial sector and the healthcare sector.
Following the growing risk facing companies, Approach is looking for ten new employees to strengthen its team in Flanders. To do this, Filip De Wolf - a recognized expert in cybersecurity and privacy, who has already held various strategic roles within consulting firms such as PwC, Ascure or even at VOO (Nethys Group) - has joined the Approach team in October as Director for Flanders.
“Approach is for me the Belgian diamond of cyber security. Our holistic approach, our team of more than 80 experts, our numerous references in various sectors (itsme, Carrefour, Engie, Isabel Group, NATO, STIB, Digipolis, SABCA, Euroclear, etc.), our ISO 27001 certification, our “VLAIO agreement" in Flanders and our experience of 20 years represent a unique help for companies wishing to strengthen their cybersecurity and their resilience" begins Filip De Wolf.
